Warzone Players Demand Infinity Ward Bans Mods, Including Popular Hardware Options

Warzone Season 4 is in full swing, but it's not all positive for the Call of Duty franchise's latest stab at Battle Royale. As we reported earlier in the week, Redditors found a hacker in every lobby.

Now, in a lengthy Reddit post on r/CODWarzone, u/GulagLIVE noted that there are multiple ways for plays to "game the system" and ruin the experience for others.

Warzone Season 4: Is Modding Cheating?

GulagLIVE refers to a way of manipulating the game using scripts that completely remove any recoil.

Doing so essentially makes every weapon a "point and click" option, removing much of the challenge and complexity of adjusting for recoil.

The Cronus Zen, on the other hand, is a piece of tech that, from the manufacturer's own description, offers "Rapidfire, Anti-Recoil, Aim Assist, Aim Abuse, Quickscope, Strafe Shot, Drop Shot, Fast Reload, Auto Sprint, Sniper Breath, Steady Aim, and much more".

If that's not cheating, we don't know what is.

Finally, XIM is another piece of hardware that adds keyboard and mouse support on console. That's a big problem, allowing for "flick shots" and increased accuracy against other players that simply don't have that advantage.

Our advice would be that if you're worried what you're doing is cheating, then you're probably cheating.

Here's hoping Infinity Ward takes a look in the near future.
