All Common Neko Atsume Cats
The following is a list of all the common-level cats available in Neko Atsume. We've also included their relative power level, so you know which cats are the best out of this bunch.
All Rare Neko Atsume Cats
This next set is all of the rare cats available in Neko Atsume. Note that the range of power levels is generally similar to that of the common cats, meaning the rarity is more down to the chances of you encountering these cats than any exclusive abilities they may have.
What Are Neko Atsume Cats?
If you'll allow us to make an easy comparison, then Neko Atsume isn't too different from the beloved Pokémon games.
In Game Freak's smash franchise, the aim is to catch as many different Pokémon as you can - and that's broadly the case in Neko Atsume, too. Rather than using the cats for any tangible gameplay benefit, like battling or trading, instead your aim is to collect all the cats available in the game.
Therefore, Neko Atsume's Catbook is basically your equivalent to a Pokédex. It'll track how many of the 67 cats you've encountered, as well as the day you first met them.
The only thing you can really do with the cats is take pictures of them, filling up your photo album with images of your feline friends having fun in the game's garden setting. There's no extensive gameplay loop here - instead, Neko Atsume is a laidback collectable cat game with kittens at its heart.
What Is The Best Neko Atsume Cat?
Since there's technically no gameplay benefit to having a Neko Atsume cat, there isn't really a single cat that's 'better' than another. However, there are some cats that are harder to get than others.
The most difficult cat to encounter in Neko Atsume is actually Peaches, who you'll notice is classed as a common cat. This is because Peaches' in-game personality is labelled as cautious and reserved, so it won't be especially forthcoming in appearing. You'll have to try plenty of times before Peaches appears, as it has one of the lowest drop rates in the game.

If you're wondering whether each cat's power level has any bearing on their rarity or likelihood to appear between play sessions, then we've got the answer - it actually doesn't!
The power level stat has no bearing on anything, and could be there just to differentiate between types of cats. Don't worry about trying to get high-level cats, as if you want to complete the Catbook, you'll need to collect them all anyway.
How Do I Get More Neko Atsume Cats?
Collecting cats in Neko Atsume is the entire crux of the gameplay. It's as such quite a straightforward task - though given there's a plethora of cats to collect, there are a lot of ways to adjust the process to grab different kittens.
What you need to do is spend in-game currency on toys and treats. You'll then place them in the yard, and leave the app for a good while to see if they attract any cats.
Food ranges from Deluxe Tuna to basic tinned meals, and you'll want to try them all out to see if they bring new cats to the yard. Combine that with toys, from rubber balls to scratching posts, and you'll find plenty of new cats. As such, it's all down to trial and error as to which Neko Atsume cats you can find. Play with combinations and you'll start filling up that Catbook in no time.
That's it for our Neko Atsume cats guide! We've gone over all the cats available in the game, as well as how to get more, and what function they perform. Armed with this knowledge, you're now ready to go out there and fill your yard with purring feline friends.
