How To Change Clothes and Hair in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

First and foremost, you'll get to choose your characters' appearance during character creation at the very beginning of the game. Here, you'll be able to choose skin tone, gender, and hair colour. You'll unlock your hat just before you leave Twinleaf Town to start your journey as a true Pokémon Trainer.

To then customise your clothing and your hairstyle, you'll need to have advanced far enough in the story to have reached Veilstone City. First, you'll be required to take on the first two Gym Leaders and successfully beat them, so it'll likely take you around ten hours of playtime before you reach Veilstone City.

When you eventually arrive, you'll be able to visit the Metronome Style Shop. In this shop, you can choose to equip a new outfit, which changes both your clothes and hairstyle, or you can purchase new ones. Unfortunately, character customisation is quite limited, as you'll only be able to equip these outfits altogether and can't mix and match items or hairstyles. Regardless, the outfits to hand right now are still both cool and cute, so you're bound to find something to suit your tastes.
