March 1, 2022: Updated to include new information on magazine size, bullet use per shot, and new skins.

Apex Legends is a free-to-play online battle royale game from Respawn Entertainment. You can be thrown into a map alongside another player or as part of a team of three to earn the title of Apex Champion. Alternatively, you can engage in 3vs3 PvP battles in Arenas mode to be the last squad standing.

No matter what mode you choose to play, there are two critical choices that you need to make. You need to decide which Legend you want to play as, and you'll need to pick (or find) your weapons. The weapons are separated into different categories, and those of you who favour ranged combat may lean towards the Sniper Rifles.

In this guide, we're going to show you the damage stats, attachments, and skins for the Charge Rifle.

Charge Rifle Review

The Charge Rifle is easily the most unconventional sniper in Apex Legends, but don't let that be the reason that you don't pick up this gun. Thanks to the hitscan feature that is found on this gun, there is literally no range in which you cannot do damage to your opponent. Whether you're jumping or ziplining, you'll always be able to inflict serious damage on an enemy if your aim is accurate.

However, there are some major drawbacks. The Charge uses 2 bullets per shot from a 4 bullet mag, and this cannot be extended. It also has a frustratingly long reload time, which can leave you vulnerable in a fast-paced firefight. This is one of the most enjoyable guns to use early in the game, but there are better alternatives when things become more chaotic.

If the Charge Rifle doesn't sound like the gun for you in Apex Legends, there are plenty of others to choose from. If you're still looking for one that's great at ranged combat, then check out our guide on the Sentinel Sniper Rifle. This powerful weapon is dangerous without any attachments, and deadly with the right ones.
