Grounded is finally coming to the PlayStation 5 after years of being exclusive on Xbox. If you're playing on non-Xbox consoles for the first time, here are some tips to help you survive this unique and challenging game.

As reported earlier this year, Grounded and two other titles will be coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation sometime this year. That release date happens to be tomorrow, April 16.

We've got five quick tips to help you survive the early stages of Grounded, a game that shrinks you to minuscule proportions and leaves you to survive in your garden.

Build a base early

While the idea of becoming a nomadic explorer in a game like Grounded can be alluring, the risks of random attacks by spiders and ladybugs mandate building a base.

This base gives your character a safe haven and the additional benefit of having everything you need in one place. Here are some places to consider building your base.

Avoid exploring at night

You'd think you'd be safer at night, but many of your natural predators are nocturnal. The Wolf Spider likes to hunt in the dark and could be lurking around any corner.

Keep an eye on resources, especially water

Managing your resources is essential, especially when exploring the Yard. You'll need to keep a close eye on them, especially water, so you can head back to base and not run out while on a mission.

Focus on upgrading your tech

Once you've set up your resources, upgrading your technology is next. This would mean finding the time to look for BURG.L Chips and Milk Molars.

Analyse your loot

Once you can, build a Resource Analyzer to pass your loot through after an exploration session. This creates better materials and increases your Brain Power, which you'll need to unlock higher-level technology.
