In Cookie Run: Kingdom, cookie cutters are rare items that can grant you a free roll of the game's gacha mechanics. Rather than having to spend in-game crystals, the game's premium currency, cookie cutters will give you a roll without costing you a single penny.

However, it should be noted that cookie cutters won't necessarily guarantee you get a new cookie companion from the gacha. Those summons can produce new cookies or more crystals to spend. Therefore, you can't guarantee that a cookie cutter will definitely give you a new teammate.

There are two types of cookie cutter available in Cookie Run: Kingdom, each with varying rarity and benefits. The most common is the standard cookie cutter, which gives you one free roll on the standard cookie banner. The less-rare rewards are on offer in this banner, so you're more likely to get a cookie that you've encountered before.

The other type of cookie cutter is the magic cookie cutter, which gives you one free roll of the featured cookie banner. This is where the premium rewards are on offer, meaning you'll have your best chance of getting a legendary cookie through this specific cutter.

You can get cookie cutters by completing quests in the game's campaign mode. Not every level will give you one as a reward, but there are some quests where a free cookie cutter will land in your inventory as you progress. Right now, having friends gift you Memory Jellies can often see a Cookie Cutter land in your mailbox.

More often than not, however, you can get cookie cutters by purchasing them. That's most common through the game's Kingdom Arena Battle mode, where you participate in limited-time campaign events and PvP battles to earn rewards.

The main reward is medals, which you can then spend in the in-game store on cookie cutters. A magic cookie cutter costs 400 medals, so you'll have to do quite a bit of grinding to unlock a new spin. That will constitute a lot of battles in this mode, but if you get lucky in your gacha spins, the rewards will certainly be worth it.

Elsewhere, you can also get more cookie cutters in the limited-time storefronts, like the Rainbow Shell Gallery. The collection of items on sale in this marketplace is constantly rotating, but cookie cutters can still crop up from time to time. You'll need to keep a constant eye on new market updates to see if they land, but it's a safe way to get cookie cutters without having to grind.

Other than that, though, it's quite hard to get more cookie cutters. You'll have to choose between grinding quests and battles, or spending currency in marketplaces, as there are no other ways to get them.

Luckily, redeeming your Cookie Run: Kingdom cookie cutters is a lot more straightforward than earning them. This is how you can do it:

  • Boot up Cookie Run: Kingdom, and head to the Gacha menu.
  • In the bottom-right of the screen, you'll see two cookie cutter icons in various colours. The green cookie cutter button is for a standard spin, while the purple will perform a magical spin.
  • If you have enough cookie cutters, press the spin of your choice, then watch the cutscene to see if you get lucky.
    • Remember that these spins won't necessarily guarantee you get a new cookie for your team, so make sure you keep your expectations in check.
