How To Fight In Cyberpunk 2077
The buttons are relatively simple:
- Fast Attack - RT/R2
- Strong Attack - Hold RT/R2
- Block - Hold LT/L2
- Dodge - BB/OO
- Counter Attack - Block just as an opponent is striking
- Fast Attack (with guns) - R3
You'll need to be careful when fighting, aimlessly spamming attacks can lead to your demise as your opponent will block and counter-attack you, not to mention drain your stamina.
Be patient and wait for the enemy to attack, as they're attacking press the Block button to counter-attack and launch into a flurry of hits.
RETURN TO SENDER: Block at the right time to ensure you hit-back with a counter-attack
You can also use the dodge button to move out of the way at the last second and catch an enemy off-guard; this will open them up for some heavy attacks and deplete their health fast.
If you find you're outnumbered, it's important to keep your opponent in front of you where they're visible. If you're too busy striking an opponent you could be blindsided by an enemy.
This also leads on to the next point that you shouldn't overstay your welcome when on the offence. If you continue to lay into someone you can easily be countered or attacked from another enemy.
Follow up with a few hits and back off to reset yourself and get ready for another attack.
If you want to finish up fights even faster, be sure to put a lot of points into your 'Body' and the 'Melee' perk to increase your strength, endurance and combat effectiveness.
Working with weapons is a very similar concept and can often perform executions when an enemy is almost dead.
When holding a gun, you can also perform a fast attack by clicking the right-thumbstick in.
