Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer is a “Standalone Product”

Cyberpunk 2077 is once again only a few days from release, and this time it feels like it much actually be happening!

And as we approach December 10, the hype is bubbling over for everything this game has to offer, and even what it could have to offer in the near future!

One such feature is the game’s multiplayer, which we already know will be coming post-launch.

Though, perhaps up until this point none of us realised quite how massive this ‘mode’ could be!

Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer is Standalone?

According to Adam Kicinski, joint CEO at CD Projekt Red, the development team are looking at the multiplayer arm of the game as not so much a mode but its own thing.

And given his position at the company, this information feels pretty legitimate!

Kicinski said that we should expect the mode to be more of a “standalone product”.

“It’s a separate dedicated production, a big production.”

This makes the multiplayer part of the game, with its own dedicated production team, could end up being more akin to GTA Online, which receives many updates on a regular basis!

Though we only have speculation on that for now.

CD Projekt Red haven’t given out too many details on their Multiplayer yet, so we’ll have to keep waiting!

When Will We Know More About Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer?

So we know that more details will be given out after the main game releases, so sometime after December 10.

Based on the time of year, and how hard CD Projekt Red will have been working, we’d expect details to come sometime next year, maybe January.

This also gives players time to enjoy the game for what it is right now, and not just longing for the next thing.

By the time they might be thinking of moving on, a multiplayer announcement could keep them invested!
