2.01 patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red has already released an extensive list of patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077 in relation to Phantom Liberty dropping on all platforms not long ago. This is, in fact, a good thing as the studio seems determined to shake off Cyberpunk's rocky start to life and dedicate themselves to delivering a quality experience.

The paid expansion and the core game have since delivered, on both fronts, so the latest 2.01 patch is sure to alleviate any annoying bugs that stop players from enjoying their time in Night City and beyond.

So without further ado, let's look at the changes and fixes we can expect from the 2.01 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty DLC.

The woes of V getting stuck in a wall are no more with the latest patch

Patch 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty is being rolled out on all platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It looks to fix the most common issues players have encountered, plus it aims to improve the overall performance of the game, particularly in Dogtown.

Of course, the Cyberpunk 2077 modding scene is already rife with alterations and fun cosmetic and gameplay changes, so with a community so dedicated to bringing out the best of Night City, it's no wonder CDPR is keen to keep their vanilla game running smoothly.

Patch notes specifically for Phantom Liberty

The Phantom Liberty DLC has finally arrived, and players are already loving the brand-new Dogtown. So CD Projekt Red has dedicated itself to fixing the bugs and quirks that came with it, which in fairness, wasn't a huge amount. But this latest patch should remedy even the smallest of glitches, for instance, Paco no longer blocks your quest when repeating dialogue from the Corpo lifepath during the Balls to the Wall questline.

Some bugs became an exploit, such as the ability to earn multiple Relic points by triggering the first meeting with Songbird more than once during Dog Eat Dog. Sadly, no more. Although it's understandable why the studio would fix such an exploit, it was fun while it lasted.

And thankfully, V will no longer get stuck in the wall or trapped on a roof after performing a Finisher on Kurt Hansen. You can now finish him in peace, without fear of glitching through the building.

General 2.01 patch notes

Several quality-of-life updates and general tinkering seem to be CD Projekt Red's game with this latest update, and while there is quite a focus on the Phantom Liberty expansion, the update does look to improve the quality of the base game, too.

This includes a patch to stop wrecked NCPD vehicles with no wheels from studiously going about their duties anyway and patrolling Night City as a husk of their former selves. Although, it was always quite funny to see what real-life budget cuts would do to the city's police department, and it would thematically tie in quite well if you'd implemented a cost-of-living crisis mod to Night City. But fine, we understand, let the police fix their cars.

The general consensus online is that CD Projekt Red are killing it right now when it comes to updating their game, looking after their already much-loved DLC, and generally keeping Cyberpunk 2077 fresh. A far cry from its rocky start to life, and the community loves to see it.
