The people of Skyrim love a good tavern and quite frankly, who can blame them? When the fire’s roaring, the ale’s flowing and someone’s belting Ragnar the Red at the top of their lungs like a mediaeval James Hetfield, there are few better places to be.
That said, while there are a few ways to enjoy the revelry offered in the vanilla version of the game, it’s easy to be left feeling like your Dragonborn’s lack of animations stops you from truly getting immersed in a good knees-up.
Thankfully, a new mod will help to get you more involved in the party than ever before and it might even net you a few extra Septims if you’re skilled enough not to be thrown off the dancefloor.
Can You Do the Skyrim Shuffle or the Tamriel Two-Step?
The mod in question is the interestingly named “Sensual Dancer” by modder joselmocs and is aimed at helping you channel your inner MC Warhammer.
Naturally, this means it allows you to get down and dance, with a new power giving you the means to bust a move whenever the mood strikes you.
You can do this by equipping the ‘Sensual Dance’ power, which should be automatically added to the spell section of your inventory in the same place that you can find shouts and abilities like beast form.
Pressing the key you use to shout should initiate the boogie and pressing it again will bring the impromptu jig to a close.
Don’t worry about the disco being limited just to your character either, as the mod’s description suggests that followers will be able to get involved via dialogue.
You might need them too, as other NPCs may gather around to watch you strut your stuff and even offer you some extra money if you impress them.
It isn’t clear whether they’ll start hurling insults instead if your character lacks coordination, but it might be best to get some private practice in before you try to take The Bannered Mare by storm, just in case.
You’ll also need to grab a few other mods before loading in, with these being “SkyUI”, “MCM Helper”, “XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE” and “Fores New Idles in Skyrim SE - FNIS SE”, which are required in order to ensure joselmocs’ mod works as intended.
