Given how fun the adrenaline rush of running away from a terrifying force that wants to scoop you up and impale you on a meat hook as a sacrifice can be, it’s no surprise that Dead By Daylight has amassed a dedicated player base of horror aficionados.

With Nicolas Cage set to arrive in its flagship game later this month, a collaboration which arguably stole the show at Summer Game Fest, Behaviour Interactive seems to be doing a good job of attracting fresh eyes to its games.

In line with this, the Canadian developer is now set to expand by opening a new studio in Southwest England, making good on plans to grow beyond its Montreal roots.

What do you think of the studio behind Dead By Daylight adding a new team to its arsenal?

Going by the moniker Behaviour UK - South, the new studio in question will be based in Truro, Cornwall.

It will feature an initial team composed largely of former employees of British studio AntiMatter Games, which developed Rising Storm 2: Vietnam and is to be shut down by its parent company, Enad Global 7, this summer, according to plans announced in May this year.

“When we learned AntiMatter Games was closing, we jumped at the opportunity to accelerate our strategic expansion by adding the studio’s proven, experienced team,” said Wayne Meazza, Executive Vice President of Behaviour’s Services division, of the move.

“We are thrilled that we can continue to pursue our passion for making games as part of the Behaviour team,” added former AntiMatter CEO Rich Barham, AntiMatter Games’ former CEO, who will serve Behaviour UK - South’s General Manager, continuing: “We feel very fortunate that we can maintain our home in beautiful Truro, and we look forward to welcoming new members to the team over the coming months and years.”

Behaviour UK - South will become the second studio Behaviour has established in the UK, following its acquisition of Middlesbrough-based developer SockMonkey Studios, which was subsequently renamed Behaviour UK - North, back in February.
