The highly acclaimed Stranger Things DLC has made its return to Dead by Daylight, developer Behaviour Interactive has confirmed, with every piece of content now available for purchase once again.
The Stranger Things x DBD crossover was massively hyped ahead of its original release. First teased all the way back at E3 2019, the DLC ended up seeing the light of day in September 2021 as Chapter 13. It would leave the game in November of that same year, marking the first and only time a piece of content was removed from Dead by Daylight.
The Stranger Things content included one new killer, the iconic Demogorgon, two survivors: Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington, and two pieces of cosmetic gear, the torn sweatshirt for Nancy and scuffed rolled sleeves for Steve.
Furthermore, it added a new map to the game (also known as Realms), Hawkins National Laboratory, which also made its return to the game.
As for why the content was originally removed, the devs had very little to say other than "it happens," with no confirmation of whether this return will be a permanent one for the Stranger Things DLC.
As with all live-service games, frequent updates, additions, and the occasional change are to be expected. With Stranger Things, our focus has always been to ensure the legacy of these characters within our game. Which is why we are delighted to welcome back all the Stranger Things content, including Characters, Perks, Outfits and Map into Dead by Daylight, as part of the game’s experience.
So there you have it, if you missed the Stranger Things DLC the first time around now's your time to get your hands on it, especially since Behaviour Interactive confirmed the price for the DLC will remain the same as when it first came out, roughly $10 or the equivalent depending on your region.
