Dambuster Studios, the developer of the long-gestating Dead Island, has posted a new job listing that suggests the zombie-killing sequel might be coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
The role, for an Art Director, specifically mentions "the next installment in the world renowned Dead Island franchise" and calls the project "a ground-breaking title for current and future platforms."

There are other listings, too, but this is the only one with any mention of next-gen hardware.
Dead Island 2 was revealed all the way back in 2014, at the start of this current console generation and Dambuster is the third studio to work on the title after publisher Koch Media moved the project from Yager Development to Sumo Digital, and then finally to Dambuster.
