2020 has been a difficult year for game studios and developers as a whole.
The pandemic has forced employees to work from home with fewer resources at hand.
This means developers have struggled to stay on track with their projected release dates.
Delays have been reported across multiple titles.
Today, Arkane announced that their game Deathloop will be delayed to the second quarter of 2021.
This means the title will no longer be released alongside the PS5.

The developer took to Twitter to reveal the news to fans.

The post reveals that the Arkane want to make sure Deathloop is as good as it can be at release.
This delay will give them the extra time to perfect the gameplay experience.
Although this is disappointing, it's always good to see a developer who wants their product to be as good as it can be.
Rushing out a game only leads to disappointment and backlash.
Let's hope the delay gives Arkane the time to release the Deathloop were all hoping for.
