February 28, 2023: Dehya is now available in patch 3.5. We'll be updating with a proper build real soon.

One of the many characters leaked by the Genshin Impact community recently is Dehya. She's a tall, dark-haired, and dark-clothed female character, and is now officially recognised thanks to a new trailer that Hoyoverse has released, showing her in Sumeru.

With Sumeru's desert expansion now live, we have learned more about Dehya, and her connection to newly released characters like Candace. She will likely release in later updates, and will be a familiar face through the events of version 3.1.

Keep up to date with all the leaks and news about Genshin Impact with our pages for Version 2.8, the later Version 3.0, and everything we know about the Dendro Vision. There's also our codes page for free Primogems.

When is the Genshin Impact Dehya release date?

Dehya will release in Genshin Impact 3.5 set to arrive on February 28, 2023. The wish banner will go live a different time depending on your server region, but you'll see her soon enough.

The Dehya banner will be removed on March 21, 2023, but Dehya will be available in the standard banner from that point on.

We'll be updating this section with an initial Dehya build real soon. We need to test her a little more before coming up with a best-case scenario of equipment.

Dehya is a two-handed weapon user, making her the third Pyro Claymore character after Diluc and Xinyan.

It appears that Dehya, in her story appearance, uses an Old Merc's Pal claymore after selling her usual weapon, but we can give her better than that. Here are our recommendations for now:

What are Dehya's skills?

Each Genshin Impact character has two skills and a passive ability. One of the skills takes longer to charge, and is a stronger attack.

Dehya is said to use an attack that creates a 'grave', which she stabs her sword into - this causes Pyro AoE damage, and has a jumping attack with it. For a claymore user, she seems to be quite nimble.

Who is Dehya?

Dehya is a formidable foe, but a friend to many. She is a mercenary with the Eremites, part of the Desertfolk of Sumeru, and is known as the 'Flame-Mane'. She has connections to Aaru Village, and knows Candace well - the protector of the village.

Dehya works as the employed bodyguard of Dunyarzad Homayani, and this is how she is introduced into the official story of Genshin, as she helps the traveler to figure out what is going on in Sumeru.
