Have you ever wanted a version of the Hunter’s Golden Gun Super that you could use whenever you wanted? Of course you have; we all have. Luckily for you, the Destiny 2 Still Hunt Exotic sniper is just that. Setting the weapon ablaze, you can fire multiple Golden Gun shots on command, no matter what class you’re playing as. With that in mind, it’s safe to say you’re eager to find out how to get Still Hunt in Destiny 2 The Final Shape.

Still Hunt is one of many new Destiny 2 The Final Shape Exotics that you’ll be hunting down across its length, and it’s undeniably one of the coolest. As for the best, well, that might have to go to Red Death, which has returned in The Final Shape and Episode 1: Echoes.

How to Get Still Hunt in Destiny 2

Still Hunt is unlocked in Destiny 2 as the reward for completing the Wild Card Exotic quest, which is unlocked after completing The Final Shape campaign.

With the Wild Card Exotic quest related to Cayde-6, it only makes sense that Still Hunt would be the Exotic reward for all your hard work. After all, Still Hunt’s unique trait is called Cayde’s Retribution, a nod to his relationship with Andal Brask. You’ll need to complete Wild Card if you want to take on the Salvation’s Edge raid.

In order to complete Wild Card, you have to first investigate an unknown threat alongside Cayde-6 and Crow. After that, you'll gain access to a new mission called Wild Card. Once you've completed that, it's as simple as wrapping up a few dialogue sections and then you'll have unlocked Still Hunt.

Destiny 2 Still Hunt Perks

Still Hunt has the following perks in Destiny 2:

  • Cayde’s Retribution Intrinsic Trait: Pick up Orbs of Power or land precision hits to charge this weapon’s Super bar. Once full, reload to fire Golden Gun shots.
  • Sharpshooter Trait: This weapon gains passive bonuses to target acquisition, aim down sight speed, and flinch resistance. The bonus increases when this weapon’s super mode is active.
  • Element: Solar

Similar to Izanagi’s Burden, Still Hunt effectively lets you turn your sniper into an amped-up railgun. The difference is that Still Hunt sets your weapon ablaze and lets you fire multiple charged shots, rather than condensing your magazine down to a single shot. However, it also has some steps to go through before it reaches its full potential, requiring you to land precision hits or pick up Orbs of Power.

With these two activation methods, Still Hunt is great for PvE mobbing and boss damage. As for PvP, Still Hunt is harder to get the most use out, though its passive bonuses to target acquisition, ADS speed, and flinch resistance aren’t to be overlooked.

Destiny 2 Still Hunt Catalyst

Still Hunt does not yet have a Catalyst in-game. However, a Still Hunt Catalyst is included in Destiny 2's game files, indicating that it will get one in the near future.

Given its Solar element, a potential Still Hunt Catalyst could add further subclass integration, such as Scorch or Ignition damage.

That covers all you need to know about the Destiny 2 Still Hunt Exotic sniper in The Final Shape. Check out all the Destiny 2 The Final Shape missions to grab more Exotics as you grind the new Overthrow activity and complete your Pathfinder each week.
