Destiny 2 The Heart’s Depths is a quest added in the game’s latest expansion, The Final Shape. A side mission with its own rewards, players looking to get the best loot will need to know how to complete The Heart’s Depths in Destiny 2 to make the most of the new expansion.

As part of the new Final Shape missions list, you’ll encounter The Heart's Depth fairly early. Unlock most other expansion Exotic quests, such as Still Hunt, you won't have to have completed the campaign beforehand. This guide will take you through specific quest steps to help you complete The Heart’s Depth as well as detail all of the quest rewards.

Destiny 2 The Heart's Depths Quest Steps

To complete The Heart's Depths in Destiny 2 The Final Shape, you must:

  • Eliminate Traveler enemies. Defeating more powerful enemy types rewards you with more progress.
  • Defeat enemies with Supers and abilities.
  • Finish ‘A Guardian Rises’ quest.
  • Go to the Tower Courtyard and deliver the schematic to Banshee-44.
  • Go to The Pale Heart, eliminate enemies and complete public events.
  • Use a Fusion Rifle or Linear Fusion Rifle to defeat enemies. You gain more progress for defeating Guardians.
  • Go to the Tower Courtyard and give the finished schematic to Banshee-44.

As you can see, it's mostly busy work to chip away at, including defeating various enemies with Supers and abilities. In general, there's a lot of back and forth, though it's worth it if you're yet to unlock its reward. Why? Well, The Heart's Depths quest reward isn't exactly brand-new, despite this being considered a Final Shape quest.
