The May 2 Destiny 2 weekly reset saw the return of the Guardian Games to close out the final weeks of Season of Defiance. Alongside it, we got plenty of loot to chase, including a brand-new Strand Scout Rifle, Taraxippos, and a returning SMG with updated perks: The Title.
SMGs have dominated the Destiny 2 PvP meta for a long time now, with the recent Trials of Osiris Strand weapon, The Immortal, being a hot topic of conversation due to how strong it was (and for many, still is).
The Title SMG would be a perfect addition to your collection for that and many other reasons, including the fact that it's an Aggressive Frame 750RPM SMG, one of the strongest archetypes within the Submachine Gun family.
Plus it deals Void damage, and considering the Void 3.0 rework remains, in the eyes of many, the strongest subclass in the game overall, you'll want this SMG to pair with it nicely, especially if you've missed out on things like Hero's Burden from Iron Banner.
The Title SMG - How to get
The Title SMG is being handed out like candy, and with an amazing roll of all things. To get your hands on this nifty little weapon, all you have to do is complete the In It to Win It Event challenge. This is what you're tasked to do:
- Earn a medallion from activity completions, and bank it at the podium in The Tower for rewards and class points.
Now, don't worry if you think you need to purchase the Premium Event Card with Silver, as these challenges can be completed by everyone for free.
In short, all you have to do is complete any sort of PvE and PvP activity during the Guardian Games event and bank the medallions you earn, doesn't have to be a rare quality!
Now, let's discuss the perks you want for your Title SMG in either PvE or PvP.
The Title SMG - God Roll
First off, let's tamper your expectations here: this isn't a replacement for things like The Immortal, Ikelos, or even the Hero's Burden, but it is a solid middle-of-the-pack and most importantly, easy-to-farm weapon that'll get the job done in most content.
With that said, the initial curated roll you'll get for completing the challenge is absolutely godlike. We're talking perks like Ricochet Rounds, Perpetual Motion, Rangefinder, and Repulsor Brace. What else could you ask for!?
Okay, okay, maybe you got some spare time to go for an even more specific roll, so we got you covered with two The Title SMG God Rolls, for PvE and PvP.
The Title SMG PvE God Roll
Look for these perks:
- Column 1: Smallbore
- Column 2: Ricochet Rounds
- Column 3: Threat Detector, Perpetual Motion
- Column 4: Surrounded, Vorpal Weapon, Repulsor Brace
The Title SMG - PvP God Roll
And for PvP, this is what you want:
