Fixing the Tattered Bridge is key to a smoother journey and earns valuable rewards.

Talk to Harding to trigger the An Unfamiliar Sense quest, which gives you access to Arlathan Forest via a mirror portal in the Crossroads.

When you reach Arlathan Forest, go southwest to find a ladder with a lock and some explosive barrels.

Use a ranged weapon to shatter the lock and explode the barrels. This will tear a hole in the wall, leading right to the Tattered Bridge area.

Move north from the beach to reach a boat heading to D’Meta’s Crossing. When you get there, go up the stairs to the west.

Head north until you come across the display room with a fast-travel beacon in the corner. The puzzle begins when you spot the bridge.

Collect a blue crystal from the western end to deactivate the blue barrier before you.

This crystal triggers the nodes around the area, changing the paths you have to travel.

Place the blue crystal into the first power node on the bridge's left side.

Doing so will create a pathway leading to a projector. This projector ensures the beams hit the right spots to unlock the bridge.

Direct the projector down the path to a node on a floating rock platform to trigger the next section of the bridge.

Walk back to the bridge, pick up the crystal from its node, and position it on a separate node near the southeast end of the bridge.

This will form a ramp leading to the south floating platform, letting you climb up.

Once on the platform, knock over a wooden post to create a bridge for later use.

Go back to the lower platform to collect the crystal. Once you have it, return to the original node to clear the ramp and unlock the area.

Go back to the bridge entrance, where crates are on your left. Push through to unlock a new route that circles back to the floating platform.

This is where the second projector is. Position the beam to target the node behind the nearby zipline that connects the west and central sections of the bridge.

At this point, the bridge is mostly connected. On the ledge on the western side, you will find a chest and a doorway blocked by a blue barrier.

You need to obtain a second blue crystal from this spot to deactivate the barrier. Pass through the doorway to get the second crystal, then set it on the power node in the southeast corner.

This last step fixes the bridge, and you’ll get a notification saying the Tattered Bridge Shortcut is unlocked.

This shortcut speeds up travel through Arlathan Forest. Completing the bridge also unlocks additional treasures, including a valuable chest, and could trigger the side quest The Magic of the Ancients.
