Epic fights and history aside, Dynasty Warriors: Origins is full of trophies for those who want to go all in.
If you're looking to grab every trophy in the game, you're in the right spot.
This guide covers everything from conquering legendary enemies to perfecting battle strategies.
How To Unlock All Trophies
As you dive into the game, you’ll naturally unlock many trophies.
You generally get these trophies for wrapping up chapters or significant story points.
Here’s what you need to do to earn them:
- The First Battle – Complete the opening prologue. It’s simple and guaranteed – you’ll get it by starting the game.
- Suppressing the Yellow Turbans – Complete Chapter 1. This chapter ends after defeating Zhang Jiao in battle.
- Bringing Down Dong Zhuo – Complete Chapter 2. You'll be done with this chapter once the Battle of Hulao Gate is over.
- The Struggle for Supremacy – Complete Chapter 3. It’s a no-brainer, and you can go with any faction to make progress.
- To Each Their Own Path – Complete Chapter 4. This is where you go to the next bit of the game.
- The Path to Power – Complete the Wei story arc. If you side with Cao Cao, you’ll end up here – a key milestone.
- The Future of Wu – Complete the Wu story arc. To unlock this, just follow Sun Jian’s campaign trail.
- A Just World – Complete the Shu story arc. This is the outcome if you stand by Liu Bei in Chapter 3.
There’s more than one ending, and unlocking the true one for each faction is a must to wrap it all up.
These gold trophies come from making choices outside the standard storyline.
- The True Path to Power – Complete the Wei story with the true ending. You’ll need to save Dian Wei during a key mission later in the game (Escape from Wan Castle).
- The True Future of Wu – Complete the Wu story with the true ending. Rescue Sun Jian in the Battle of Xiangyang to unlock this one.
- A Truly Just World – Complete the Shu story with the true ending. To unlock it, make sure fate doesn't get the best of you in the Battle of Changban.
The number of trophies depends on how well you perform in battle.
This covers trophies for taking down enemies, perfecting combat skills, and making the most of the game's various mechanics.
- Army of One – Wipe out 1,000 enemies in a single round. You’ll pick this up over time, especially in bigger battles or redoing missions.
- Weapons Master – Pull off a victory with nine weapons in your arsenal. The trick is to keep switching weapons during the action. You can swap in the menu if you’re not in the middle of an attack.
- Killing Blow – Win 10 duels. As you get deeper into the game, duels will happen more, and winning them gets you this trophy.
- Unrivaled – Rack up 200,000 enemy kills during your run. To get this trophy, run through the game a few times, do some missions, and fight your way through.
- The Strongest – Defeat Lu Bu at the Battle of Hulao Gate. This battle is optional, though it’s pretty challenging – best saved for New Game+.
- Peerless Warrior – Unlock and activate Musou Rage during battle. This one opens up after you make your way through the story.
Some trophies need you to spend a little time exploring and picking up the right items.
These are for you if you're all about checking off every box in the game.
- Traveler – Track down every Waymark on the map. This is unlocked as you navigate all the regions during the story.
- Pyroxene Hunter – Collect 100 Pyroxene. The map is dotted with orange crystals that respawn in their usual spots.
- Accessory Addict – Unlock all accessories in the game. You’ll have to find 500 Old Coins and complete a few missions to do this.
- Abundant Armory – Load up on all the weapons. You’ll unlock weapons as you play through the story, knock outside missions, and take on challenges.
- Eminent Equestrian – Unlock every horse. Horses are unlocked through both story progression and side objectives.
As you play, building up those officer relationships and doing their side missions is how you rack up trophies.
- Unbreakable Bond – Go all in on your bond with one officer. You can max out Dong Zhuo early in the game.
- Spirit of Camaraderie – Make the most of your relationship with every officer. You’ll need to put in the time, but unlocking all those trophies is worth it.
- A Helping Hand: Bail out 50 allied officers. You can save the officers whose health is close to crashing.
- Loyal Ally – Take care of whatever your officers need. The better you get along with each officer, the more requests you’ll unlock.
- Avid Learner – Complete every officer’s training challenges. As your bonds level up, these unlock and give you extra skills.
- Capable Companions – Win battles with each of nine different companions. This fun trophy requires you to switch up your companion choices during battles.
These trophies reward you for leveling up your combat skills and using strategy to win.
It's all about linking arts and using tactics to your advantage.
- Battle Art Mastery – Master any battle art. You’ll need to roll with the same art to get the trophy.
- Versatile Warrior – Use every battle art at least once. Unlock new arts by vibing with officers and knocking out missions.
- Masterful Tactician – Use 10 different tactics. You’ll unlock tactics by finishing side missions, so wrapping these up will get you this trophy.
- Clever Tactician – Pull off a major win with a tactic. Go for the high ground and use your archery skills for a solid shot.
- In Unison – Execute 10 battle art chains with an ally. You’ll need a companion close by and link your art for the biggest damage.
Some trickier trophies require you to tackle tough challenges, upgrade your gear, and test your skills.
- The Ultimate Warrior – Complete a battle on Ultimate Warrior difficulty. Finish the game on a lower difficulty to get access to this mode.
- Deadly Perfection – Upgrade a weapon to +99. Use weaker weapons with decent modifiers, then reforge them for the upgrade.
- Weaponsmith – Reforge a weapon’s traits. Once you finish the game, you can start Reforging to change your weapon stats.
- The Pinnacle of Prowess – Unlock every skill from Knight-Errant to Musou Rank. Work through officer training tasks to earn skill points and unlock all available skills.
Some trophies are more difficult to unlock and are tied to certain things you’ll need to achieve in the game.
- Defying Fate – Save an officer who is fated to die. This moment comes up in different storylines, and it’s your chance to unlock the trophy.
- Guardian of Peace – Restore peace in every region. You can raise the peace level in regions by finishing skirmishes and side missions.
- Supreme Competence – Complete every mission and side battle. You’ll need to go back and replay some missions to wrap up all the objectives fully.
