For the connoisseurs of frustration that roam the plains of Elden Ring, it can be easy to get stuck and start struggling to have fun.
After all, when you’re having a difficult time mowing through that pesky boss that always has your number, your motivational pep talk from Israel Adesanya doesn’t seem to have much of an effect and you’ve already had a go at rebalancing the game, then staying upbeat can be a challenge.
Luckily, a couple of new mods do Bonnie Tyler proud by bringing you the heroes you’ve been holding out for in order to help you power through your one-handed Elden Ring playthrough.
Get ready to dish out some justice to the bosses who’ve done you wrong!
The first of the mods in question is called ‘Wonder Woman’ and is the work of prolific modder KRDCD, whose previous mods have brought numerous characters and armour sets from games including the Dark Souls series and Nioh to Elden Ring.
This time, though, they’ve turned their attention to the DC universe, adding a pretty snazzy-looking Wonder Woman skin to the game, using a similar means to modders who’ve added the likes of Mario and Luigi into the game.
Naturally, that means that the skin replaces one of the game’s existing armour sets, in this case the Godrick Knight set, while its unique sword and shield are swapped in for the Crystal Sword and Gilded Iron Shield.
If you don’t fancy sacrificing that particular group of gear, or are more of a fan of the dark and broody Batman, you’re also in luck, as another of KRDCD’s mods, called ‘Dark Knight Armor Set’, might be more up your alley.
This mod allows you to take on the appearance of a medieval version of the caped crusader, complete with an ornately decorated set of bat-inspired armour, which replaces the vanilla game’s Black Knife armour set, plus a personalised sword and shield, which tag in for the Noble's Slender Sword and Scorpion Kite Shield.
While the use of a sword does kind of go against Bruce Wayne’s no-killing policy, taking on the game’s bosses unarmed sounds likely to be a little too much of a challenge even for Gotham’s finest.
That said, it might be possible if you and a friend team the two heroes up using LukeYui’s ‘Seamless Co-op’ mod and take on the Lands Between’s biggest baddies using some tandem offence.
Before you do that though, you’ll need to grab either ‘ModEngine2’ or ‘UXM’, the latter of which is only available via Elden Ring modding Discord servers, in order to get either mod working as they should.
