While they may not have any massive expansions to dig into quite yet, Elden Ring players are still keeping themselves busy, with the long-awaited Colosseum DLC providing a fresh challenge for many who now consider traditional playthroughs to be old news.

That said, sometimes even the acts of butchering an endless supply of bloodthirsty fellow players or emulating streamer MissMikkaa’s runs through the game on guitar and using two devices at once can get stale and drab if you’re using the same character build or rune combination you always end up going for.

If you’re in search of the ideal place to put a new character or combat strategy through its boss-battling paces without having to waste time commuting through The Lands Between, a new mod might be worth adding to your load order.

Feel like you need a controlled environment in order to find all the hidden weaknesses of Elden Ring’s baddies?

The mod in question is called ‘Boss Arena’ and is the work of modder RepO98.

They’ve decided to have a go at setting up the perfect proving ground for unseasoned Tarnished, which will allow you to select specific bosses and take them on as many times as you like in order to gauge the viability of the latest unorthodox playstyle you’ve devised.

As you can see in the showcase video above, the mod is designed to be a bit of a standalone experience separate from the rest of the game, with your character being teleported straight to Roundtable Hold, where they’ll find an array of merchants and resources designed to provide you with the means to create the ideal version of your build without any grinding for items or to level up.

Once you’re happy with all of your gear and stats, talking to the chamber’s Malformed Star will allow you to select a boss to be teleported to, with the current list consisting of 16 different gods, demigods and legends, ranging from Starscourge Radahn to Dragonlord Placidusax and even the Elden Beast.

As soon as the battle with your chosen foe concludes, regardless of whether it ended in victory for your character, you’ll be teleported back to the Roundtable Hold, where you can make adjustments before diving into another affray against the same adversary or a fresh fight with a different one.

If that sounds appealing, you’ll first need to grab ‘ModEngine2’ in order to get things working as they should and read the in-depth instructions on the mod page.
