An Escape from Tarvok wipe is coming. They're always coming. For the uninitiated, it means a character and world reset that reverts the game back to a state of pre-player bliss, ready to be influenced and conquered again. A wipe happens from time to time in EFT, and another is due shortly.
The multiplayer FPS by Battlestate Games does this as a way of levelling every player equally as much as possible, although this could also be an opportunity for the highly skilled to rank up faster and win games more often. The last wipe was in December 2022, and signs are pointing to another happening in June, July, or, at a stretch, August.

What happens during a wipe in Escape From Tarkov?
Aside from resetting the players’ characters in EFT, wipes usually coincide with the release of updates in the game. There is a big chance that there would be new maps, features, tasks, and objectives once a wipe would take place.
Additionally, new items can also be up for grabs whenever a wipe is scheduled in EFT. This would not just boost the existing players’ morale to grind in the game, but could also attract new players to try and somehow be hooked with the game’s tactical shooter nature.
