Once you know how to get Divine Shine in Final Fantasy 14, you'll be well on your way to a complete set of ilvl 660 gear. There's a lot you can do with armour that powerful. As another vital currency introduced in the big FFXIV 6.5 patch, it's one part of three different tokens you'll be aiming to gather until the launch of the next expansion. Here's both how to get it, and where to spend it.
With the Dawntrail expansion scheduled to kick off in 2024, you have plenty of time to farm enough Divine Shine for each of your max-level battle classes. But you'll need two other materials to get a complete set, and they're all locked behind a weekly reset.
For those, check out how to get Divine Solvent and how to get Divine Twine. The method is largely the same, but you'll want to know what they're good for. You can only choose one at a time. Where to use Divine Shine in Final Fantasy 14
Vendor | Location coordinates |
---|---|
Khaldeen | Radz-at-Han (x10.8 / y10.4) |
With a Divine Shine in your inventory and the piece you want to upgrade unequipped, head to Khaldeen in Radz-at-Han. He occupies the first stall on the left if you go into West Balshahn Bazaar from the Radz-at-Han Aetheryte Plaza.
What is Divine Shine used for in FFXIV?
You can exchange a single Divine Shine alongside any 'Credendum' accessory from the Thaleia alliance raid for an 'Augmented' version of the same piece. Augmented gear is ten item levels higher than the base piece, making it an easy upgrade.
Is the 6.5 raid gear good?
As of patch 6.5, Augmented Credendum gear obtained by upgrading Credendum gear from the Thaleia raid is ten item levels higher than Tomestone gear from the previous patch. This makes it some of the easiest and most powerful gear to obtain in the game currently.
It's also 20 levels higher than the previous standard 8-man raid gear, and the same item level as the gear found in the previous patch's savage raid tier. You won't need much better.
