See our choices below of the four best teams you can select when playing Kick Off mode. Equally, you can also use them in the Online Seasons mode, which is effectively Kick Off but with online progression.
Paris Saint-Germain
Our first pick is a proper easy one, and is in no small part thanks to Kylian Mbappé's appearance on the cover of FIFA 23. PSG is one of the richest clubs in world football and has compiled a front three that simply outclasses everybody else.
The attacking combo of Mbappé, Neymar, and Lionel Messi is the main selling point of PSG in Kick Off mode. But there's so much more to PSG's squad aside from those three, including 88-rated Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal, and Sergio Ramos marshalling the back line.

Alongside relative newcomers to the team like former Lille man Renato Sanches, and the rising star Nuno Mendes, and PSG are far and away the best team to use. You'll have no trouble beating your rivals.
Real Madrid
But of course, Real Madrid is another excellent choice. Current holders of the Champions League, their combo of young wingers Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo make Real a team with attacking flair by the bucketload. Wisened striker Karim Benzema may not be as spry as he once was, but can still very reliably blast in goals.
The midfield no longer includes the anchor Casemiro, but Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are still technically gifted players who complement the attacking flair of Federico Valverde.
You'll need more patient build-up play to compensate for the overall lack of pace, but once you're in the opposition's third, you'll find scoring goals with Real Madrid easy.
Manchester City
The best club in England and potential claimants to the Champions League this season, Manchester City is another good choice for Kick Off mode. With the added strength of superhuman Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, you're unlikely to find a more well-rounded squad in world football.

Though the team has lost stars like Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus, you can instead employ players like Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez to replace their attacking output. Alongside a solid Jack Grealish card and the midfield stalwart Kalvin Phillips, the Citizens are once again shaping up nicely in this year's FIFA.
France national team
Our last choice is the current holders of the World Cup, the French national team. The 2018 tournament saw Kylian Mbappé burst onto the scene, and his 91 OVR card this year is testament to how far he has progressed. Alongside recent starlets like Jules Koundé, on top of old favourites N'golo Kanté and Paul Pogba, and you've got a truly world-class international team.
Even better, Benzema is back in the France roster for FIFA 23, meaning you can go for two strikers and link him with Mbappé to score some truly outstanding goals. If you and a friend are going for international teams only, make sure you pick France first!
