Eager for the FIFA 23 World Cup mode release time? With the footballing calendar's biggest tournament almost upon us, EA Sports has already announced a slew of new themed modes and features for its game. With the launch edging ever closer, what is the precise release time?
In this FIFA 23 guide, we'll tell you exactly when the World Cup modes are due to launch. It is worth noting, however, that there's a discrepancy of a few days between the launch of general modes, and the arrival of Ultimate Team World Cup items. As such, FUT fans may still have to wait.

When is the FIFA 23 World Cup mode release time?
The FIFA 23 World Cup mode releases on November 9, 2022, likely at 6pm GMT. EA Sports has yet to provide a specific launch time, but all other FIFA content tends to arrive at 6pm, so it's the most likely option.
As such, fans don't have long to wait until new modes like Your World Cup and World Cup: Live arrive in the game. However, it is worth noting that the main arrival on November 9 will be the updated roster, kits, and tournament schedule.
Some of the more intricate modes like Your FIFA World Cup don't arrive until closer to the tournament. That's because it follows the specific schedule of the tournament, using real-life performances and results to alter player ratings.
However, from November 9 onwards, players should be able to play as their favourite national team, kitted out in their World Cup strip. Since not all of the 32 competing nations have announced their squads, expect those to also receive an update once announced.
When does the FUT 23 World Cup mode release?
If you're more excited for the specific arrivals in Ultimate Team, such as a slew of World Cup-themed temporary cards, you'll have to wait a little longer. The FUT World Cup update doesn't release until November 11.
This isn't too much of a surprise though, because new Ultimate Team content always releases on Fridays. With specific objectives, SBC tokens, and themed Hero cards to chase after, you'll need to be ready if you want to make the most of the event.
When is the FIFA 23 World Cup mode end time?
However, one thing we don't yet know for sure is how long these World Cup modes will remain in FIFA 23. Given it's an unusual winter tournament this time around, these events come much earlier into the game's life-span. Usually it would occur just a few months before the next annual instalment, but that's all change in FIFA 23.
One thing we know for certain is that all World Cup Ultimate Team items and players will be removed on January 4, 2023. That means any and all regular World Cup cards you've received will disappear from your club. However, any player of the tournament cards, or FUT Heroes cards earned during this time, will remain in your club.
As soon as we know when, or even if, the other World Cup modes will leave FIFA 23, we'll update this guide. Until then, feel free to read up on the best lengthy players, alongside a look at all the FIFA 23 icons in this year's game.
