Final Fantasy VII Rebirth fans are enjoying most of the mini-games, to the point that they have yet to reach the ending. However, while fans do enjoy mini-games like Queen’s Blood, it seems that Fort Condor is still a sore spot for many after first appearing in Remake Intergrade.
On Twitter, Stealth posted about enjoying the PlayStation 5 exclusive JRPG, but admitting that they sucked at the Fort Condor mini-game. This led to a ton of comments that ragged on Fort Condor, with many saying that it’s too difficult and having to switch to Easy Mode.
“I had to switch game to easy just to beat the 4th fort condor mission. I suck at it,” Jordan tweeted.
“It ain’t you. The 4th challenge should be illegal with how difficult it is,” said Chur Lim.
“Fort Condor feels hideously unbalanced, especially the 4th round,” Trash said.
Bringing Fort Condor back in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was a choice from Square Enix, as fans were annoyed by this mini-game when it was in the original game. The version fans are playing now first appeared in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, although that also received mixed reactions at the time.
While the mini-game is annoying, this is just something players can do to pass the time or if they want every trophy. Anyone else can opt to skip the mini-game or only play it a couple of times for some rewards. The fact that harder versions of Fort Condor are only unlocked when you beat this game will annoy completionists.
Although fans have mixed reactions to Fort Condor, it seems that most fans are enjoying Final Fantasy VII Rebirth regardless. The already excellent combat system is even better now, thanks to fun additions like team-up attacks. Opening up the world has also been received properly, especially since the first game was fairly linear.
