The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 patch notes contain a wealth of changes to multiple areas of the game ranging from the battle royale to Lego Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 patch notes

New POIs

Chapter 5 Season 2 sees four new points of interest (POIs) arrive onto the battle royale map. Here's a full list of the new locations:

  • Mount Olympus
  • Grim Gate
  • The Underworld
  • Brawler's Battleground

Weapons and items

The Chapter 5 Season 2 patch notes contain a wealth of information surrounding new weapons joining the ever-expanding arsenal. Whether it's close-quarters or long-distance, there are new weapons for everyone to master:

  • Gatekeeper Shotgun
  • Harbinger SMG
  • Huntress DMR
  • Warforged Assault Rifle

Each of the four weapons has a Mythic variant which players can earn by defeating the boss each weapon belongs to. Alongside the new guns, there are some weaponry inspired by the Greek Mythology theme:

  • Thunderbolt of Zeus
  • Wings of Icarus
  • Chains of Hades

Returning weapons

In addition to the new weapons arriving, Epic Games is bringing back some old weapons to spice up the meta even further:

  • Ranger Pistol

Weapon mods

As with every new season since Chapter 5 Season 1, Weapon Mods have added a further layer of gameplay to Fortnite. Chapter 5 Season 2 sees the arrival of the Thermal Scope and Speedgrip which have the potential to provide some game-changing advantages.

Lego Fortnite building kits

It's not just the battle royale that's receiving changes in Chapter 5 Season 2. Lego Fortnite is introducing building kits for players to purchase.

The building kits cost 1800 V-Bucks and higher and grant players lifetime access to that particular bundle. Epic Games has also announced plans to introduce free building kits in the not-too-distant future.
