Do you want to know the exact time you can start playing Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 when it launches? Then you've come to the right place as we'll give you all the information you need to be prepared for the new season's kick-off.
Chapter 5 Season 2 was a wild ride, with the Greek theme living up to fan expectations, despite some limited-time events being criticised for how lacklustre they felt, particularly the most recent Star Wars collaboration, which amounted to some easy quests and NPCs populating the island such as Darth Vader and Chewbacca.
The show must go on as they say and in this guide, we'll provide you with a tentative time for when you can hop into Fortnite as soon as Chapter 5 Season 3 starts. Speaking of, we have a dedicated guide with everything you can expect to see during the season, so check it out.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season Start Time
As we've mentioned previously, Chapter 5 Season 2 is ending on May 24 at around 2 AM ET. The game will enter an extended downtime period, making it uncertain when will the servers be back up and running.
In truth, not even Epic Games can give you an official start time for the season beyond a tentative date. Downtime can go from a mere couple of hours all the way to 10 or even 12 hours if deployment of the new season and patch end up being troublesome.
Furthermore, you won't be the only players trying to get a head start as thousands more will flock to the game causing server issues due to the extreme amount of fans trying to log in at once, making queue times all but a given as is tradition with every new Fortnite season.
Our best guess would be for you to try and log in early to see if downtime ended on time and you're one of the lucky few that got in before the servers got clogged. Try and be online at around 6 to 7 AM ET. If not, keep checking Fortnite's social media accounts for further updates.
That's all we can do for you now, hopefully, downtime ends up being smooth sailing and players can enjoy Chapter 5 Season 3 early on May 24.
