Sometimes you just want to hop onto Fortnite after a long day and play the game to pass the time while trying to relax. Thankfully, the patch v29.30 update has added the option to hide confrontational emotes in an effort to reduce toxicity in the game.

How to hide Fortnite Confrontational Emotes

To prevent yourself from seeing some of the more unsavoury emotes in Fortnite, you’ll need to go into your settings and make some adjustments. You’ll be looking for the See Confrontational Emotes setting which is found in the Account and Privacy section.

You’ll have three options to choose from when adjusting this setting:

  • From Anyone – see Confrontational Emotes from anyone who performs them.
  • From Friends in Party – you’ll only see Confrontational Emotes when performed by friends in your party.
  • Never – you won’t see Confrontational Emotes regardless of who’s performing them.

There are currently four emotes in Fortnite that are considered to be confrontational. These are Laugh It Up, Take the L, Whipcrack, and Make It Plantain. This list may change with future updates.
