The Persona franchise continues to grow in popularity, with the recent Persona 3 Reload selling millions and reviewing well. Now that the JRPG series is bigger than ever, rumours claim that the Atlus franchise will soon crossover with Fortnite, the most popular battle royale out right now.
Reliable Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey revealed that a Persona collaboration would be a part of Chapter 5 - Season 2, though specifications on which game in the series weren’t given. While fans should take this with a grain of salt, it’s also worth noting that reliable SEGA leaker Midori retweeted the news, which adds some credibility to the leak.
It’s not just the Atlus franchise getting some shine from this, as iFireMonkey also confirmed that Kratos from God of War would also be returning to the shooter. Atreus will reportedly join his father this time, adding more PlayStation flare to the Epic Games battle royale.
While the inclusion of Kratos is neat, Persona is the bigger deal here since the franchise has yet to crossover with Fortnite. Granted, we’ve seen Persona 5 collaborate with many mobile titles in the past, but this is easily Atlus’ biggest crossover yet, assuming it’s true.
As we mentioned earlier, it’s not yet clear which game in the series is going to be a part of this collab, though we expect characters from Persona 3 and Persona 5. Persona 3 Reload is a hot game right now, as our review shows, and this would be one hell of a way to market this title. At the same time, Persona 5 is the game that made this franchise bigger than ever, so Joker and Mona could easily appear as well.

Fortnite has collaborated with a ton of games in the past and that’s not going to change anytime soon. Still, possibly seeing Persona as one of those games does feel special, especially since we don’t see the franchise doing too many crossovers. Both Fortnite and Persona 3 Reload are readily available.
