Sucker Punch Productions' Ghost of Tsushima has been an overwhelming success for the studio.

The Japanese inspired action-adventure game has gone down as a PlayStation exclusive to remember.

The passion fans have for the game has inevitably led to questions on when a sequel can be expected.

With so many rumours and strings of information floating around it can be difficult to piece it all together.

We decided to make it easier and give you all the information in a single place.

Yet another job listing – April 14

Another job listing suggests Sucker Punch is working on an online, multiplayer game, which sounds very much like Ghost of Tsushima Legends 2.

Platforms

Ghost of Tsushima 2 can be expected to launch on the PlayStation 5.

It's difficult to say whether Sony will opt to release the game on the PS4.

As the game will likely release a long-time after the PS5's launch, we imagine the game will only be made for the next-gen console.

It is possible that Sony release Ghost of Tsushima 2 on PC at some point after the game's release.

We have seen this happen with other PlayStation exclusives such as Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn.

However, as the original game is yet to be released for PC, it's difficult to predict whether the sequel will.

Release Date

As of yet the game has not been officially announced.

Therefore, the title has no official release date.

Rumours

Sucker Punch has recently advertised for a narrative writing position at the studio, as well as a new combat designer.

The job description for a writer specifically asks for an individual who has a "desire to write stories in feudal Japan", while the combat designer must have "played Ghost of Tsushima and understand its core combat systems.”

Therefore, we can assume this position involves Ghost of Tsushima in some way.

Of course, this position might not necessarily be for a sequel.

It could be for future DLC or another experience in the game's universe.

However, it's a piece of information that gives fans hope they'll be revisiting the game's world at some point in the future.
