One of the best parts of gaming in the 1990s was the variety of cheat codes available for players to use. The James Bond games were no exception, and with the GoldenEye cheats available on Xbox and Switch, it's a nice throwback to playing on the N64. These cheat codes unlock things like new maps or alters the kinds of guns available to you, or even add modes like Tiny Bond and Slow Animation.
The Switch version of GoldenEye 007 and the Xbox version have a few key differences between them. Most noticeably, the Switch version is the only one that features online multiplayer. This is because the Switch version uses the original GoldenEye game, while Xbox released it as a remaster.
This is important because this also changes how the cheat codes work in each of the games. If you're playing the Switch version of GoldenEye 007, you can unlock the cheats by entering the unique cheat codes or meeting the requirements in the game. The button mapping between the N64 and the Switch has had some adjustments, which we'll explain later on. However, if you're playing on Xbox, you're out of luck. There is no current way to input a cheat code on this version, meaning that you'll have to meet all of the cheat unlock times instead.
Goldeneye cheats - All cheats on Switch and Xbox
One of the ways to unlock all of the GoldenEye cheats is by passing certain requirements in the game. These are split into two different types, timed missions or beating difficulties.
These currently work on the Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and N64.

GoldenEye Cheat codes for Nintendo Switch and N64
Another way of unlocking the cheats is by inputting a specific code. No doubt, this method is the one that you remember from playing games on older consoles.
These will only work on the original N64 and the Nintendo Switch version.
However, the button mapping hasn't been precise between the versions. The C Buttons have been mapped to the right analogue stick on the Switch, and the Left, Right, Up and Down inputs have been mapped onto the D-Pad.
