GTA 6: The Internet Goes Into Meltdown Over New Grand Theft Auto Title In Development

The internet was sent into a frenzy yesterday after a new GTA game was said to be in "early development" - with many thinking it is the long-awaited GTA 6.

A new report from Kotaku which follows up on its investigation into a culture of crunch described by many Rockstar employees also discusses the studio's plans for the future.

Here's the latest news.

GTA 6 In Development?

In Kotaku's report, it references the GTA franchise in particular:

"One plan that management has laid out for the next game, a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, is to start out with a moderately sized release (which, by Rockstar’s standards, would still be a large game) that is then expanded with regular updates over time, which may help mitigate stress and crunch."

But there’s a catch: Rockstar’s next big project is still early in development. When production ramps up and the game gets closer to launching, will overtime come with it?

Although there is no reference to the fact that it is GTA 6, the new information has gotten everyone extremely excited about a new GTA game; as the last once launched almost 7 years ago.

It's not exactly what we expected, as many fans were convinced that the new game had been in development for quite some time.
