Rockstar Job Listing Sparks GTA 6 Trailer Theories

Despite GTA 6 almost certainly being some way away (particularly given constant updates to GTA Online), a new job listing has got fans wondering if there are some promotional materials rolling out soon.

As spotted by Redditor prowantedz, a new Cinematic Gameplay Capture Artist job posting has appeared, with the description noting that “this role is responsible for shooting in-game footage for use in online and TV campaigns."

“The Gameplay Capture team works with our video editing and trailer teams to produce outstanding videos using exclusively in-game shots," the listing notes, as well as asking for candidates to be a “world-class player of current platform (PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC) video game titles.”

While this paints a picture that the team at Rockstar could be looking to release at least a teaser trailer for GTA 6, it seems unlikely.

With GTA 5 coming to PS5 and Xbox Series S/X in the future, it's perhaps more likely that the game will get a trailer showcasing its next-gen enhancements, likely with side-by-side comparison shots.

It could even be for a GTA Online update, too.

As we wrote last summer, Kotaku reported that the game is in early development.

With that in mind, it seems unlikely that Rockstar is likely to be putting together a trailer just yet – particularly since in the past they've traditionally released screenshots to generate excitement first of all.

For more on GTA Online, the game could a sizeable patch this week. Here's all we know.

Take-Two's earnings call this week also revealed that GTA 5 has sold an incredible 140 million units – making it the second best-selling title of all time.
