A big part of the Grand Theft Auto franchise is its soundtrack. It usually features an eclectic collection of sounds split into multiple radio stations that give the in-game world a sense of reality, especially when you add the fact that each station has its own DJ. With the release of the GTA 6 reveal trailer Rockstar Games gave fans a small taste of the vibes they can expect in terms of music while they're adventuring around Vice City and surrounding areas.

At the time of writing, we only have a single artist confirmed for the GTA 6 soundtrack and that's Tom Petty, with the track Love is a Long Road. It was the song utilised in the first GTA 6 trailer and it'll most likely be featured in one of the many radio stations within the game.

As for rumours, a few are circulating on social media, but none seem to be founded on reliable information yet. So take all of them with a pinch of salt.

The biggest ones include The Weeknd being a fan-favourite with his popularity reaching an all-time high, making him a perfect candidate to be a part of the GTA 6 soundtrack.

The Weeknd just got his own Fortnite skin and would fit the bill as a contemporary musical icon that can serve to fully bring Vice City to life, especially if Rockstar Games wants to make it clear that GTA 6 is taking place in modern times.
