While many GTA Online players are obsessed with becoming unfathomably rich, most do so by relentlessly executing daring heists and dangerous sales missions with their dedicated crews and bizarre buddies, rather than opting for slightly less popular schemes.
After all, if you’re after reliable scores that won’t leave you grinding away until GTA 6 arrives, eliminating any risk within your revenue stream is the safest way to make it big.
However, it seems that this isn’t a universal philosophy, with one player on Reddit having caused a bit of a stir by sharing their earnings breakdown, which cites betting as their most lucrative activity.
How many lucky charms do you think this player has?
This interesting reveal is the subject of a recent thread in the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from the player in question, user DaLamb2004, who shared a pie chart of their biggest revenue sources, captioning it: “Just started last week, (and I) am not sure how to make more money.”
Many of their fellow players didn’t seem too concerned with answering this query, but were instead consumed by a desire to know how DaLamb2004 had made so much money from gambling, with user Yodaskidney enquiring: “Dude, how did you get 17 mil from gambling? Did you do high stakes blackjack?”
User -DemigodFoxtrot suggested that a strategy involving changing clothes and quitting games in order to reset tables and machines could have been used, however, DaLamb2004 revealed: “Actually, I started with the 5000 cap poker tables and then I found out about the penthouse three days ago.”
Meanwhile, a few players did address DaLamb2004’s question about increasing their revenue even further, with user LogOfOne recommending: “Get businesses and stuff. You will have a lot of options to start making cash.” and adding that the likes of the Kosatka and the agency might be shrewd investments.
On the other hand, user thomas2026 recommended a different approach, saying: “No one will tell you this but when you are new, your focus should be getting reputation points, not money. Money will come naturally, reputation is far more important. People have forgotten all the benefits (of a high reputation): your health is significantly (higher), you have (more) guns, and (more) ammo capacity for those guns.”
