GTA Online was released eight years ago. And the game was played by players worldwide on various platforms, including the PS3 and Xbox 360. But just last June 16, Rockstar Games announced that they will be shutting down the servers for the game on those consoles permanently, and it'll happen already tomorrow, December 16th, 2021.
With the game already available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and soon to be upgraded for PS5 and Xbox Series X, it is quite reasonable why they are doing this. Though it will still surely impact some players using these older Sony and Microsoft consoles. With that in mind, here's everything you need to know.
What Time Does GTA Online Stop Working On PS3 and Xbox 360?
As of the moment of the writing, there is still no word from Rockstar Games about the exact time they will be shutting down GTA Online for PS3 and Xbox 360. Though the sure thing is that it will be taking place tomorrow, December 16th, and it could be as early as when the day will begin.
Typically the game has a weekly reset which takes place at around 9am GMT each Thursday. We suspect the server shutdown will take place at the same time. Either way, we will keep you posted about any further news once an official announcement has been made.
