The Contract DLC update for GTA online lets you work alongside Franklin as his new business partner. Your agency is focused on "celebrity solutions", helping the celebrities in Los Santos with various problems such as stolen cars or destroying incriminating evidence. You can choose to play missions alongside other players but we're here to answer an important question, can you do The Contract missions solo?

Can You Do the Contract Missions Solo?
The answer is yes but be prepared for how hard it can be. Yes, you can do some of the missions solo by design (such as the security contracts), and some you can do solo by skipping through waiting for other people to join. However, a few of the larger missions to get Dre's phone back have been designed for 1-4 people. This means that the complexity and difficulty of these missions will be considerably harder if you choose to do it alone.
That being said, it is possible to do the missions designed for a team on your own. You'll need to be a great shot and fill your pockets with ammunition. We recommend that you invest in some armor and heavy-hitting weapons like the new heavy rifle if you choose to fight on your own.
At the moment, it seems that the Franklin and Lamar missions cannot be played solo. We will update this guide as soon as we know more.
How To Start the Contract Missions Solo
When you start a contract or mission that requires a team, you will be taken to a screen where you wait for other players to join. To skip through this, select confirm to accept your settings and then select play. If you are allowed to proceed with the mission on your own, it will ask you if you are sure you want to. Select yes and you will begin the mission alone.
