How to upgrade Echoes in Harry Potter Magic Awakened?
Each Echo in the game possesses special attributes that can be used to modify your deck of cards. You can think of the Echoes as special abilities that change the way your cards may function. Therefore, grinding for new Echoes and upgrading the ones you acquire is essential to unlocking the full potential of your deck of cards.
Each Echo you obtain can be upgraded from level 1 to level 16. There are two different ways of upgrading any Echo in the game.
- Using Echo Crystals to upgrade the Echo
- Using other Echoes to upgrade the Echo
Although both methods are perfectly viable and work just fine, it is highly recommended to use the Echoes you don’t need to upgrade the ones you want to use. Gold and crystals are valuable resources, so upgrading any Echo to level 16 can quickly drain you of them, especially for higher rarity Echoes. Instead, if you use the unused Echoes as upgrading material, you can easily maximise any Echo level with a little bit of gold.
One thing you should keep in mind is to not fully upgrade any Echo you like at level 16. It is best to upgrade a potentially useful Echo up to a few levels and see if you like the randomised cards it applies to. Once you have decided you want to use those cards for the long-term in your deck, you can choose to fully upgrade that Echo.
Where to find Echoes effectively?
Since Echoes are character-based, you need to collect a bunch for all the different characters. Although you can explore for Echoes almost anywhere in the game and as special event rewards, the best place to find Echoes is the Forbidden Forest. Remember that the deeper you explore in the forest, the higher tier Echoes you will acquire.
