Can you change your robes in Hogwarts Legacy?
In Hogwarts Legacy, you'll get your first set of robes when you're sorted into your house. But are you able to shed those robes for new ones? Yes. And no. It's complicated, but not complicated at the same time. Here's a note directly from the dev team:
According to WB Games support on Twitter, you won't be able to change your house robes once you lock them in during the sorting ceremony at the start of the game. As soon you as you decide to end the ceremony, the choices you make there are made final, meaning your house robes are your own and you won't be able to get the robes of another.
You'll need to start a new save file to change your house cloak. That being said, the game does have a transmog system, allowing you have a skin for your robe. Again, you won't be able to get the robes of another house, but there are various other outfits to unlock along the way.
And that's all you need to know about changing your robes in Hogwarts Legacy. While you're here, be sure to check out our other guides for the game, such as our guide to getting the Elder Wand in Hogwarts Legacy, our House Tokens locations guide, and our full quest list.
