The next part to completing the task is blasting an enemy using Depulso while they are in the air. You can use Leviosa on an enemy to make them float. Afterwards, blast the enemy away with Depulso to complete the quest's second task. Once you do that, you'll be able to complete the assignment.
You can then head back to Professor Onai, who'll teach you how to unlock Descendo by drawing a shape with your controller. There will be icons and a path to follow to draw out the spell. Make sure you press the corresponding buttons at the right moment to complete the task and learn the spell.
Once you finish that, you'll unlock Descendo and earn some XP. You can practice using the spell on the practice dummy to try using it in combination with other spells. Keep in mind, though, that you should be at least level 15 to do this task. It takes a while to grind the levels, but the results are rewarding when you progress the game with the Descendo spell in your arsenal.
