Read on for our Honkai Star Rail Bailu build. Bailu is a five-star support character Honkai Star Rail who focuses on healing. She focuses exclusively on healing being one of the very best at it. Unfortunately, this means she cannot remove debuffs.
Defensive units like Bailu that focus on healing only might be great in the early game, but harder content will require you to run debuff removal in your party. Bailu is an excellent character for new players, and she will keep you alive as you explore the open world and learn the game mechanics.
The best Honkai Star Rail Bailu build
The following build is for Bailu. You can find more Honkai Star Rail builds on our dedicated hub page.
Best Light Cone for Bailu
Just like every other five-star in the game, Bailu has a signature Light Cone that greatly benefits her kit. Time Waits for No One is her best-in-slot Light Cone that maximises her HP pool and improves her healing output. You can also use other Light Cones that improve HP and healing output.
Light Waits for No One
Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12.0% and Outgoing Healing by 12.0%. When the wearer heals allies, record the amount of Outgoing Healing.
When any ally launches an attack, a random attacked enemy takes additional DMG equal to 50.0% of the recorded Outgoing Healing value. This additional DMG is of the same Type as the wearer's, is not affected by other buffs, and can only occur one time per turn.
Warm Nights Won’t Last
Increases the wearer's Max HP by 20%. When using Basic ATK or Skill, restores all allies' HP by an amount equal to 2% of their respective Max HP.
Cornucopia
Increases Outgoing Healing of its wearer by 16%
Best relics for Bailu
There are multiple relic options available to supports in Honkai Star Rail. You can either focus on healing effectiveness or attack speed, both of which benefit Bailu. You can choose between the Passerby of Wandering Cloud, Fleet of the Ageless, or the Musketeer of Wild Heart to maximise her support capabilities.
Passerby of Wandering Cloud
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Outgoing Healing by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: At the beginning of the battle, immediately recovers one Skill Point.
Fleet of the Ageless
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, all allies' ATK increases by 8%.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- 2-Piece Bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.
In the early game, we recommend using the Musketeer of Wild Wheat set, and you can decide in the late game if you want to continue using Bailu. With her kit not allowing you to remove debuffs, you have to commit two slots for Bailu and secondary support for debuff cleansing, which can be restrictive.

If you find yourself using Bailu even in difficult content, consider switching to a Passerby of Wandering Cloud set with HP main stats and substats for maximum healing effectiveness for your party.

Eidolons in Honkai Star Rail allow you to push the limits of your character even further by summoning them multiple times.
