Hanya in Honkai Star Rail

Hanya in Honkai Star Rail

Hoyoverse has officially revealed Hanya as an upcoming Physical Harmony character, who you can use to generate Skill Points (SP) and boost your team’s damage. Our Honkai Star Rail Hanya build will go over her best light cones, relics, and abilities to help you.

Hanya is one of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission in the Xianzhou Luofu, where she is responsible for interrogations. We will know more about her character when her Companion Quest arrives.

Hanya will be available in patch 1.5, and she will debut alongside Argenti and Huohuo. She is expected to have synergy with any unit that requires a lot of Skill Points. Check out our guides for SP-hungry units like Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae and Seele to find out how you should build them if you want to optimise Hanya’s buffs. We also have our Honkai Star Rail builds hub where you can find builds for other characters.

Best light cones for Honkai Star Rail Hanya build

Past and Future is the best free-to-play light cone for Hanya, and you can get a copy randomly when doing your weekly Echo of War clears, or you can buy a copy from the Forgotten Hall vendor.

  • Past and Future - when the wearer uses their Skill, then the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 16% increased DMG for one turn(s).

The stats mentioned above are at Superimposition 1, and you can get more copies from the Light Cone Manifest store to get it up to Superimposition 5 for a whopping 32% damage increase for your characters when using Hanya’s Skill. If you are looking for a more premium option to get the most out of Hanya, you can go for The Battle Isn’t Over.

  • The Battle Isn’t Over - increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 8%, and regenerates one Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally. This effect can be triggered after every two uses of the wearer's Ultimate. When the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action deals 30% more DMG for one turn(s).

The Battle Isn’t Over is a lot harder to get, but you don't need to rely on the gacha to obtain it. You can earn Undying Starlight by pulling on the banners and spending the currency to purchase a light cone for your choice from the Shop.

The Battle Isn’t Over is available for purchase permanently, and even a single copy can give your favourite Harmony character a massive power spike.

Best relics for Honkai Star Rail Hanya build

The go-to set for Harmony characters is Messenger Traversing Hackerspace, which gives you a nice amount of Speed for all your allies. For your Planar Ornaments, you should go for Sprightly Vonwacq, which gives you a 40% Advanced Forward and 5% Energy Regeneration Rate.

Messenger Traversing Hackerspace (Recommended)

  • 2-Piece Bonus - increases SPD by 6%.
  • 4-Piece Bonus - when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally, SPD for all allies increases by 12% for one turn(s). This effect cannot be stacked.

Sprightly Vonwacq (Planar Ornaments)

  • Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer's action is Advanced Forward by 40% immediately upon entering battle.

Eagle of Twilight Line (Alternate Set)

  • 2-Piece Bonus - increases Wind DMG by 10%.
  • 4-Piece Bonus - after the wearer uses Ultimate, their action is Advanced Forward by 25%.

You can use Eagle of Twilight Line in case you don't have a good Messenger Traversing Hackerspace set. While the Eagle set is meant for Wind users, you want to use it solely to take advantage of the 4-piece bonus that gives you Action Forward. Hanya wants to take as many actions as possible to generate Skill Points frequently.

Honkai Star Rail Hanya build - Best abilities to level

As we mentioned earlier, Hanya is designed to give you Skill Points and a massive attack bonus. You want to build her for ability uptime instead of damage. You want to activate her Technique before starting any battles, as it will inflict the Burden debuff on enemies.

  • Skill - deal Physical DMG to a single target, after which Burden will be applied. Burden will automatically release three times after triggering the Talent's skill point recovery.
  • Ultimate - increases an ally's Speed and their ATK. At the same time, recover one skill point.
  • Talent - when an ally attacks a target afflicted with Burden, their DMG will increase. When an ally attacks a target afflicted with Burden, there is a chance of recovering a skill point.
  • Technique - immediately attacks an enemy and, after entering the battle, inflicts Burden onto a random target.

Traces

  • Recorder - when any ally attacks an enemy target afflicted with Burden, Hanya's Talent skill point recovery base chance can increase.
  • Underworld - when any ally deals damage to an enemy target afflicted with Burden, their DMG will increase.
  • Resurrection - whenever Burden skill point recovery is triggered, Hanya will restore Energy.

Honkai Star Rail Hanya build - Eidolons

Hanya’s first Eidolon is great if you want her to generate even more Skill Points for your team. While her Eidolons can seem impactful, you shouldn't summon extra copies of the character unless you also want the on-banner 5-star unit.

  • E1: After defeating an enemy, if the enemy was afflicted with Burden, recover one skill point.
  • E2: After casting Basic ATK, Hanya's next move will be advanced.
  • E3: Skill Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15; Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to Lv. 10.
  • E4: When an ally is buffed by Hanya's Ultimate, Hanya's Talent of skill point recovery's base chance will increase to 100%.
  • E5: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15; Talent Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15.
  • E6: When an ally is buffed by Hanya's Ultimate when they attack a target afflicted with Burden, their DMG will increase.
