Honkai Star Rail Seele Build (February 2024) - Best light cones, relics, and abilities

Honkai Star Rail Seele

Honkai Star Rail Seele
February 2, 2024: We've updated our Seele build guide for Honkai Star Rail.

Seele is the strongest burst damage dealer in Honkai Star Rail, but she's only the sum of her parts without the proper Honkai Star Rail Seele build. She can work really well even without five-star supports or optimal light cones, too, making her a versatile pick even without top-tier investment.

She is a self-sufficient unit who can buff herself very consistently and does not require too many support abilities to perform well. You can throw in any healer and two sub-DPS units into your party and Seele will function well without relying much on other units in your party. Our build will focus on maximizing her ultimate uptime.

How to get Seele in Honkai Star Rail

Seele is the rate-up character for the 1.0 release. You can pull her with increased odds from the character event warp Butterfly on Swordtip until patch 1.1.

The best Honkai Star Rail Seele build

Seele is designed for burst damage and she can take out dangerous foes with a single ultimate. Our build will focus on maximizing her burst damage with the right light cones and relics.

Best light cone for Seele

Seele’s best-in-slot light cone is In the Night. Unless you pull on the current light cone banner, you cannot obtain it, which makes it unfeasible for a lot of players to obtain it. Thankfully, there are some great budget alternatives like Arrows and Darting Arrow, which work quite well with Seele’s kit.

In The Night: Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 12%. While the wearer is in battle, for every 10 SPD that exceeds 100, increase the wearer's Basic ATK and Skill DMG by 15%, and increase the CRIT DMG of their Ultimate by 8%. This effect can stack up to 8 times.

Arrows: Increase CRIT Rate of its wearer by 12%.

Darting Arrow: When the wearer defeats an enemy, increases ATK by 24% for 3 turn(s).

Arrows and Darting Arrow are both three-star options that can put in a lot of work for Seele until you gain access to high-rarity options. Remember, that you need to use a light cone that aligns with the path of The Hunt in order to take advantage of passives.

Best relics for Seele

There are two solid relic options available for Seele. You can either go for the Genius of Brilliant Stars which is the only quantum damage relic set in the game or you can opt for Musketeer of Wild Wheat which is a generalist set that can be used by any DPS in the game.

Genius of Brilliant Stars

  • 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.
  • 4-Piece Bonus: When the wearer attacks enemies with Quantum Weakness, ignores 25% DEF.

Musketeer of Wild Wheat

  • 2-Piece Bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
  • 4-Piece Bonus: The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.

You want to focus on crit rate, crit damage, attack, and speed for Seele while also getting enough energy recharge substats to ensure her ultimate is available as frequently as possible.

Enemies suffering from Butterfly Flurry take additional Quantum DMG equal to 18% of Seele's Ultimate DMG every time they are attacked. If the enemy is defeated by the Butterfly Flurry DMG triggered by other allies' attacks, Seele's Talent will not be triggered. When Seele is knocked down, the Butterfly Flurry inflicted on the enemies will be removed.

Seele is an extremely powerful unit even at Eidolon 0 and you do not need to go for additional copies for her unless you really like her. It is better to go for more supports and light cones on your account instead of Eidolons unless you already have a diverse roster of characters who can fulfill all roles.

If you do want to go for Eidolons, E2 is worth chasing as it gives her more crit rate and makes her more consistent at finishing off enemies.

Seele is not an exclusive character in Honkai Star Rail. An alternate-universe version of her exists in Honkai Impact and she has multiple battlesuits in the game. If you want to give the game a try, here is a collection of Honkai Impact codes to help you get the valkyries that you want.
