Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp may be closing almost a decade after its launch, but there is still a chance for players to get into the game with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete.
Nintendo has revealed a way to salvage all of your progress and collections from the original game to the new version. It’s a fairly simple process, but a Nintendo account is necessary.
Transferring Save Data to Pocket Camp Complete
To transfer all of the save data from the original Pocket Camp to the Complete version, players simply need to follow these instructions:
- Get a Nintendo Account
- Link Animal Crossing Pocket Camp to Your Nintendo Account
- Purchase Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete
Upon opening Pocket Camp Complete, the game will ask if you want to transfer data. You can link your existing Nintendo account, and the game will do the rest.
What Save Data Can You Keep?
Essentially, players will be able to keep most of their progress in the original game and port it over to Pocket Camp Complete. For one, the player's relationship with the rest of the campers and the animals will be at the same level as it was in the first game. Items that players have gathered in their warehouses will be ported over.
The player layouts of their Camper, Cabin, and Campsite will also be transferred to the new version of the game. Outfits that the players have gathered throughout their progress will also be safe.
What Won’t Transfer to the New Game?
Since the Complete version won’t include some specific features, some items won’t be ported to the new game. Leaf Tickets are being phased out for Pocket Camp Complete, and the monthly subscription service to Pocket Camp Club won’t be available either.
Complete also won’t require a constant internet connection because playing with friends and online communication will also be removed from the newer version of the game. That means players won’t be able to buy and sell items with other players, and they won’t be able to send gifts.
New Features
Despite the removal of some of these features, Pocket Camp Complete will replace them with some new ones. In lieu of Leaf Tickets, the game will hand out Leaf Tokens, which can be earned via in-game challenges. Some elements from the canceled monthly subscription have also been included in the base version of Pocket Camp Complete.
Since players can’t play online multiplayer anymore, the game does have a feature called Camper Cards. You can generate a QR code for your friends, and they can scan it and collect your personal camper card in their game. It’s not as interactive as online, but it does offer a way to connect with other players, at least.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to transfer your save date before the June 2, 2025 deadline.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is now available for mobile.
