Nintendo has announced that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, the mobile version of Nintendo’s cute simulation game, will end its services on November 28, 2024.
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is free to play with various in-app purchases. Subscriptions will be replaced by a newer, paid version of the same game.
While the latest version will not offer in-app purchases, a constant internet connection will no longer be needed. Previous save files from the old version can be transferred via a Nintendo Account.
Additionally, any subscribing to the monthly Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Club will become unavailable by October 28, 2024. Players with different subscriptions, such as the Merry Memories Plan and Happy Helper Plan, that extend beyond October 28 can continue using the subscription benefits until the whole service ends in November.
Leaf Tickets will also become unavailable for purchase on November 27, so players must make sure to utilize them. Existing Leaf Tickets can’t be transferred to the latest version.

Players were glad to have the feature of porting over their current saves to the latest version, as they mentioned on the official announcement thread posted on X.
While this may be the case, some are wary of this new single-player experience for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp as online features such as Market Boxes, gifts, and visiting other players' campsites will no longer be available. The new paid version of the game will focus entirely on providing a single-player Animal Crossing experience on mobile.
Nintendo’s latest installment in the Animal Crossing franchise is Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which was launched in March 2020. As of this writing, there have been no official announcements regarding a new Animal Crossing game, and Nintendo’s move to have Pocket Camp become a single-purchase offline version leaves most fans questioning the direction of the franchise.
Regardless of whether Nintendo will announce a new mainline, Animal Crossing, soon, be sure to stay updated with the latest news and announcements by following Gfinity Esports.
