The general consensus is that you can use your VR headset for an hour, then it is advisable to take a fifteen-minute break before jumping back in.
A governmental literature review of September 2020 from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy was quoted as stating that 15-minute breaks should be taken every half an hour of playtime.
We would say that taking scheduled breaks from your VR headsets just to be on the safe side from any eye strain or eye fagiture is a good idea.
Why Should I Take Scheduled Breaks From VR?
As fun as VR gaming can be, your wellbeing is of course more important, and taking scheduled breaks will mean that you're keeping everything in check.
In more intense titles like Beat Saber that can require a lot of movement, taking breaks can allow you to rest, recuperate and rehydrate and also move around outside of being in VR.
Of course, different lengths of time will suit different people, but sticking to a regular schedule just means you can keep proper track of how long you've been playing for.

This is because your eyes are fundamentally looking at two small monitors for a prolonged period of time and looking at any screens for too long could cause eye fatigue.
