How Do I Get Iron in V Rising?

Getting iron in V Rising sadly isn't as straightforward as simply finding it in the wild. Instead, it only spawns in one location in the entire map, and you can't just mine and smelt it on a whim. Instead, you need to go to a specific place, and reach a certain point in the story before it becomes possible.

First off, you'll need to have already beaten Quincey the Bandit King, a boss at level 37. You'll find this boss within a mob base in Farbane Woods, and as expected it's not a battle that low-level players will be able to complete. Once you do though, it'll drop the iron ingot recipe. As you may expect, that's crucial for breaking down iron ore.

From there, you can start mining for iron. It only appears in one place: the Haunted Iron Mine in the Dunley Farmlands. It's around the centre of the V Rising map, slightly to the west of the hulking Hallowed Mountains. Head to that peak and go west, and you won't miss the Haunted Iron Mine.

Then head inside, and you'll see iron cells across the walls and tunnels. Be careful though, because a boss called Meredith the Bright Archer lurks within. She's a level 52 boss, so you'll need to be very careful while trekking to claim iron.

What Does Iron Do in V Rising?

Once you've mined iron, you need to head back to your base to smelt it into iron ingots. Ensure you've got the aforementioned iron ingot recipe, and you'll be ready to smelt one of the best crafting items in V Rising.

Head to your furnace and place all the iron ore you've claimed inside. Give it a bit of time, and it'll turn into iron ingots. That's the base crafting element you need to make a range of items in V Rising. Most crucial are the new weapons you'll be able to craft, making melee combat much easier - provided you don't go down the route of a magical build.

That's it for our look at how to get iron in V Rising! It's an invaluable asset for making weapons and armour, so be sure to look out for it. Elsewhere, feel free to redeem the latest Pet Simulator X codes over on Roblox.
