New weapons always seem to be arriving in Fortnite, and this new instance leaves players wondering how to get the Ripsaw Launcher. It's one of the brand new guns added in the recent 21.10 update, with a more tactical impact than most other firearms in the game. As such, the chances are you'll want to test out the Ripsaw Launcher.
In this Fortnite guide, we'll go over all the key details of the Ripsaw Launcher. That ranges from how to get it, how it works, and what uses it actually has in the game. As mentioned earlier, it's quite unlike most other weapons in Fortnite, so if you want to spice up the combat it's definitely worth looking out for.

How Do I Get The Fortnite Ripsaw Launcher?
At the time of writing, the Ripsaw Launcher is only available in one specific location on the Fortnite map: a factory located north of Logjam Lumberyard, in the coordinate D4.

Land there and enter the factory through any of the various bedrooms. You'll end up in a large central room which is effectively a workshop, with two Ripsaw Launchers hanging on the wall. Simply hold down the action button, and one of them will be yours.
For now, that's the only way to get the Ripsaw Launcher in Fortnite. You won't find it in any chests or loot drops. Therefore, you'll either have to trek to the factory to pick one up mid-match, or hope that a downed enemy drops one if you defeat them in combat.
And anyway, it makes sense for the saws to be held around the lumberyard, right? We're just stealing equipment now.
What Does The Fortnite Ripsaw Launcher Do?
Just like the launchers it takes its name from, the Ripsaw Launcher is a fairly lumbering and slow heavy weapon. You hold down the trigger to charge up a saw projectile, before sending it careening (although rather precisely) towards your target.
It'll be most effective in the build modes of battle royale, as the Ripsaw Launcher tears through resources — and as such enemy structures — with ease. In terms of actually damaging opponents though, it's less effective.
Its damage is around the mid-fifties per each powered-up saw, and as such won't do you much good in a close encounter. We definitely recommend you use it to tear down structures rather than to tackle tense combat.
That's it for our look at the Fortnite Ripsaw Launcher! This new heavy weapon may not reinvent the wheel, but it's a fun new distraction to try out in the build mode.
